Crows Nest Station Weekly Update – 15 July 2022
Summary of key work activities next week (weather permitting): Monday 18 to Sunday 24 July 2022

Day work (7am to 6pm Monday to Sunday)

• Set up of a mobile crane and concrete pours will continue on Clarke Lane (south) from Monday 18 July to Thursday 21 July (weather permitting). Access to Hume Street will be restricted during this time and Clarke Lane will be converted into two-way access via Clarke Street at Hume Lane until further notice. In the event of wet weather, activities will occur on the next dry weather day.
• Concrete pours and deliveries will continue on Clarke Lane (north) and Pacific Highway from Monday 18 July to Wednesday 20 July, weather permitting.
• General construction work will continue inside the station box including operation of ventilation fans.
Please note that work from 6am-8am and 12pm-2pm Monday to Friday, after 1pm on Saturday and all day Sunday (outside standard construction hours) will be low-impact work. Activities will include waterproofing, steel fixing, installation of in-ground services, concrete pump set up, structural steel, formwork, and precast installation.

Night work (6pm to midnight Monday to Friday and up to 10pm Saturday and Sunday)

• Low impact activities will be ongoing inside the station box.
• Tower and mobile cranes will be in use up to 10pm Monday to Sunday.

Oversize structural beam deliveries (10pm to 5am the following morning)

• Deliveries notified in our monthly notification have changed. Planned deliveries are to occur next Thursday 21 July and Friday 22 July.
• If deliveries cannot occur on the above dates, a contingency shift will be used. Planned contingency shift for next week is Saturday 23 July.

Other contractor works: Systems Connect will be working inside the station box down on the trackway level during and outside A W Edwards approved work hours (up to 4am each morning).

Given this work area is covered by completed upper levels, no noise impacts are expected. Site lights will remain on and worker lifts will be operational.
