What’s a Drill Mat or Crane Mat? And what’s a Bog Mat? And, what’s the difference?

Bog Mats are a reusable ground protection solution used to create temporary or long-term platforms or access roads on construction sites located on or near fragile ground. They help to limit the project’s impact on the surrounding environment and provide access to hard-to-reach areas to heavy machinery.

Crane Mats or Drill Mats are a generic term used to describe a heavy equipment mat made up normally of large timbers or steel plates. Often used as a platform for cranes or drill or piling rigs.

Do you have any pictures of rigs on bog/crane/drill mats? post them in the comments.
