Geotechnical investigations are continuing in Sydney CBD to help us understand the underground soil conditions.
These investigations will assist with the early planning and design of the excavation and tunnelling work for the new Hunter Street Metro station. The investigations will be undertaken by Golder Douglas on behalf of Sydney Metro.
July out-of-hours work
To minimise the impacts to local businesses, we will complete some geotechnical work in Empire Lane over the weekend. This will occur from 7pm Friday 22 July until 5am Monday 25 July. We will work continuously between these times.
Further investigations will continue in the CBD and at various locations along the alignment in August 2022. We will keep you updated on our progress.
